Ruth 2:12-13
12 May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge."
13 "May I continue to find favor in your eyes, my lord," she said. "You have given me comfort and have spoken kindly to your servant—though I do not have the standing of one of your servant girls."
So, in one of my previous blogs I talked about the way that people read the bible or at least two ways that I feel that I read the bible. One of which is from my reading plan the second is the prayer and the thought. This morning I read from my reading plan; which was all important stuff but I felt like I lacked the application to my life from the reading so I went to where I felt the Lord was leading me and I ended up in Ruth 2 which led to 3 and 4:) What great words are these spoken in the story of Ruth and Boaz; even the words "richly rewarded" speak so deeply to what I desire for my own life and what the Lord desires for me. Not only is it talking about blessings and rewards, but being found in God's refuge! Then it goes on to say even though I don't have the standing of one of your servant girls...how often does this parallel to my own life when I pray for God's blessings to overflow and abound in my life and realize how undeserving I could/should be but that God still richly rewards me in any and all avenues of life. How amazing...I am so blessed even in the midst of undeserving every piece of that..God sees me as rich and deserving in any and all ways...that's enough to make joy abound today and everyday.
